applying for a room 1 wet day play buddy

Room 1 sent room 9 a wanted poster that said room 1 needed a wet day play buddy. So room 9 started writing letters to room 1 asking if they could apply for the job of being a wet day play buddy. Room 9 had to write how good they were how sensible they are and how playful they are. Once the letters were finished we gave them to Mrs Pearl to send to room 1. Some people did not want to apply for the job but they had to write the letter and Mrs Pearl would not send them. Lots of us hope we get the job and become a wet day play buddy.

PE by Olivia

On Thursday 11/2/10 we played a game called Bombard, where we have a yellow ball in the centre and you have 5 tennis balls and 6 players per team. What you have to do is you have to hit the yellow ball in the centre with the tennis balls and get the yellow ball into the goal. The kids in room 9 enjoyed it and I hope to play it again.

Sketches by Shanyn K

On Wednseday 10/2/10 we sketched fish in our art book. First we ruled four boxes, then we got pieces of paper with lots of sea animals and we had to draw them, then shade them with our own pencils. Once we'd done that we were able to use graphite and charcoal pencils. The graphite pencils were lighter than the charcoal pencils. The charcoal was very dark and was harder to use.
